Ten worthy local charities and community groups have been given a funding boost from P&N Bank in the latest round of the Helping &nds community grants program.
P&N Bank customers continue to nominate a diverse mix of community focussed organisations for consideration for a P&N Bank Helping &nd. The activities of the shortlisted top 10 for the latest funding round ranged from mental health support, assisting children with life-limiting and complex medical conditions, supporting the homeless and those escaping domestic violence, to animal rescue and grass-roots community groups.
Congratulations to all the groups and organisations which were successful in the most recent round of P&N Bank’s Helping &nds community program:

One of the groups funded was Hannah’s House which provides health and support services to children and young people from birth to 18 years who have life-limiting and complex medical conditions. The organisation is dedicated to help children and families live their best quality of life from diagnosis through to recovery or bereavement and beyond.
Hannah’s House CEO Jonine Collins shared the organisation was very appreciative of being featured in Helping &nds and that the donated funds will be put to a great cause.
“Hannah’s House was thrilled to be nominated for P&N Bank’s Helping &nds and to know so many P&N Bank customers voted for our cause.
“The funds donated will be going towards our Playtime Program which brings joy into the lives of children with life-limiting or complex health conditions.
“We plan to use the funds to purchase equipment and sensory toys for our children and to help pay for the costs of our regular playgroups to keep these cost-free for families”.
Another charity funded was People Who Care and their Starting Over Support (SOS) program that provides assistance to vulnerable individuals and families following crisis, family and partner violence, homelessness, mental health and elder abuse. Within the SOS service, each family or individual receives all household goods and furniture to suit their immediate needs. The P&N Bank Helping &nd will support the provision of clean single mattresses for some of the 500 children assisted each year.
