The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) commenced operation in 1999 following recognition by the Federal Government of a need to establish a stronger regulatory regime in Australian financial services. As a prudential regulator, APRA sets standards for the prudent management of financial institutions in Australia, to ensure adequate financial and managerial capability.
P&N Bank, like all Australian banks and credit unions, is categorised and licensed by APRA as an Authorised Deposit-Taking Institution (ADI). All financial institutions are subject to the same prudential standards, regulations and supervision.
